Varroa Easy Check Mite Tester
★★★★★ Trusted by 1M+ Beekeepers Worldwide

The Varroa Easy Check helps beekeepers measure Varroa mite levels by collecting a sample of bees and separating the mites for counting. Regular mite checks can help you make more informed hive-management decisions.
The recommended sample is approximately 300 bees, which is about half a cup. The built-in measuring basket helps make it easier to collect a consistent sample.
The tester supports three sampling methods: alcohol wash, powdered sugar, and CO₂. This gives beekeepers flexibility to use the monitoring method that best fits their management approach.
Its measuring basket and mesh design allow dislodged mites to pass into the clear container below while keeping the bee sample in the basket, making the mites easier to see and count.
A mite count gives you a snapshot of the Varroa level in your colony, helping you monitor changes over time and determine when further hive-management action may be needed.
I finally decided to step up and raise my own this season. This graftless system is just brilliant. No more stressing about damaging those tiny larvae. I easily got over 40 cells started on my first try, which is fantastic for our short Canadian summers. Instead of having to buy wooden frames, I was convinced it was definitely worth the money when I found three plastic Nursery Frames in the box that I can reuse over and over again. It also feels great to finally have full control over the genetics of my hives.

I’ve spent too many summers squinting my eyes raw trying to graft larvae the old-fashioned way. At my age, my eyes just can't take that tiny needle work anymore. This kit is a complete game changer for my yard. I just let the queen loose in the box for a day, and she laid everything right where it needed to be. My nurse bees fed 'em up real good, and I ended up with some big, healthy queens way quicker than I figured. Even scooping out the royal jelly was a breeze.

Starting queen rearing felt intimidating, but this kit made it straightforward even for a beginner like me. Confining the queen to lay in the comb box worked perfectly, and moving the plugs to the frames was simple. Acceptance was much higher than I expected, and the extra royal jelly production is awesome. The queens emerged healthy, and I had no issues introducing them. Great quality tools included too.

As a beekeeper with 20 years of experience, my eyesight isn’t what it used to be, and my hands shake a little. A fellow beekeeper from the club told me he uses this kit and that it’s perfect for me. Trusting his judgment, I bought it without a second thought. Everything I needed was in the box. This set proved to be exactly what I needed at my age by allowing the queen to lay eggs directly into the cell caps. I’d like to thank my friend and the manufacturers.

To be honest, I was getting tired of the grafting method. When I discovered this all-in-one kit, I decided to give it a try. And now, high larval acceptance, strong queens, and easy royal jelly harvest. Best kit I've tried. Definitely recommending it to my local beekeeping group.
